The first weekend in October is behind us, so we will give you a short summary of traffic at Split Airport on 3rd and 4th of October.
There were 44 flight operations this weekend at the Split Airport. Total number of flight on Saturday was almost 2 times bigger than on Sunday. On Saturday total number of flights was 29, while on Sunday 15.
The city of Split was connected to 22 European cities on 3rd of October and 11 cities on 4th of October. In other words, passengers were able to travel to 27 different destinations in Europe.
Croatia Airlines had the biggest number of flight operations at Split in the first weekend of October, total 12 flight operations. Croatian airline carrier connected Split to other European cities such as Munich, Paris, Lyon, Frankfurt and Rome, including 2 Croatian destinations such as Zagreb and Dubrovnik. Zagreb was destination with the biggest number of direct flights from Split, total 5 flights.
Among foreign airlines that were connected to Split, the biggest number of flights was achieved by easyJet that had operated its flights to Geneva, Bristol, Basel, London (Gatwick and Luton), Manchester and Glasgow.
The biggest number of individual flights towards foreign destinations were from Split to Munich, Frankfurt and Stockholm, among which Munich and Frankfurt had 2 flights both on Saturday and Sunday, while Stockholm had 4 flights, all operated on Saturday.
Number of flights will keep decreasing in the upcoming days and weeks, because a significant number of airline companies will stop operating their flights towards Croatian airports at the seaside, including Split.
