Two Croatian airlines, Trade Air and Croatia Airlines, operate a total of 11 domestic routes at the peak of the summer season, thus connecting Croatian regions in the fastest possible way.
Croatia Airlines has 7 domestic routes, most of which are to or from the capital - Zagreb.
The Zagreb - Dubrovnik - Zagreb route operates daily, several times a day, so direct flights on this route are available up to 5 times per day. In total, as many as 26 weekly flights are available on a weekly basis.
The Zagreb - Split - Zagreb route also operates daily, several times a day (up to 5 daily flights), and the number of weekly rotations between the two cities is really large - as many as 31 weekly flights!
The Zagreb - Zadar - Pula - Zadar - Zagreb route operates 11 times a week, flights are available daily (two flights a day), except on Saturdays when the route is not operating, and on Fridays when one flight is available. Flights take place in the afternoon and evening.
The Zagreb - Brac - Zagreb route operates twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. At the end of July we will travel on this route so you can expect a detailed trip report.
The Split - Dubrovnik route is operating once a week, on Saturdays in the late evening. Due to the operational reasons, Croatia Airlines positions the plane from Split to Dubrovnik and offers tickets for that short flight. The plane from Split departs at 23:45 and the flight time is just 25 minutes!
The Split - Osijek - Split route operates once a week, on Fridays, in the evening.
The Dubrovnik - Osijek - Dubrovnik route operates once a week, on Thursdays, also in the evening.
Trade Air flights
The Osijek - Zagreb - Osijek route operates six times a week, two flights a day are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The Osijek - Pula - Split - Pula - Osijek route operates twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
The Osijek - Rijeka - Osijek route operates twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Rijeka - Split - Dubrovnik - Split - Rijeka route operates twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
It should be noted that sales on Trade Air domestic routes is currently open for flights until July 20th, the company says that sales on flights after the mentioned date are expected to start next week, so follow their website and social profiles.
Also, given that a large number of our citizens decide to spend their holidays within the country, given that it is still much easier to plan a vacation in Croatia, domestic aircraft have excellent occupancy, so it is already impossible to find a seat on a large number of flights. This applies for both mentioned operators, Croatia Airlines and Trade Air.
As these two companies have signed a codeshare agreement, domestic flights are connected to flights from international routes so passengers can continue their journey to the final destination in Croatia (and vice versa). Because of that, in addition to domestic passengers, a large percentage on domestic routes are actually bookings from foreign tourists.
As many as 85 weekly flights will be available on 11 mentioned domestic routes from next week, which is a respectable number!
