Prior to the outbreak of the global crisis, Thai Air Asia X and Nordstar planned operations to the Croatian capital.
Thai Air Asia X has listed the A330-300 flights to Zagreb from Bangkok (Don Mueang Airport, DMK). The company was supposed to bring Thai tourists on charter flights to Croatia, which is not strange at all since the number of visitors from Thailand is growing every year. The plan included 3 rotations in May (01, 06 and 11.05) and two rotations in October (13 and 19.10). It is likely that there will be no flights in May, but there are certain chances that these charter flights may be realized in October. The A333 aircrafts in Thair Air Asia X fleet are configured with 377 seats (C12, Y365).
Zagreb was supposed to get a new airline which would fly from Moscow. Aeroflot has been flying regularly between Zagreb and Shermetyevo Airport for years, but Russian Nordstar has planned to introduce two weekly flights between Domodedovo Airport and Zagreb.
The route was supposed to start with ops from April 17th and to run until October 23rd. The Nordstar's B737-800 was scheduled to land in ZAG on Fridays and Saturdays, each Fridays at 4 PM and each Saturday at 11:40 PM. Departure from ZAG was set after one hour of ground time.
Unfortunately, Nordstar flights can no longer be booked on their official web site, it is not surprising that the company has obviously decided to cancel this flights and wait for better times to introduce it..
