Czech airline Smartwings will soon stop operating direct flights between Prague and Split. This was the one of just two routes between Prague and Croatia during this summer season.
Smartwings started to operate regular flights to Split Airport relatively quickly after re-opening the borders between two countries. B737-800 aircraft was used on the Prague - Split route. Smartwings was the only airline which operated direct flights on this route.
Croatia Airlines did not resume flights between Zagreb and Prague in this summer season, due to the low demand and pandemic situation, while Czech Airlines suspended all routes to Croatia even earlier.
Smartwings flew to Dubrovnik Airport regularly during the previous summer season, however, this route was not active this year, as well as many charter routes to Split Airport.
The airline will operate daily flights on the Prague - Split route during this week, while flights will run on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday next week. Smartwings will make its last flight this summer to Split on Sunday, September 20th, concluding operations for this year towards the Croatian market.
The only option of a direct flight between Prague and Croatia remains with the low-cost airline Ryanair, we published Ryanair's schedule earlier, details can be found HERE.
