Korean Air suspended the Seoul - Zagreb - Seoul route at the end of November 2019. The original plan of this airline was to return to Zagreb in the first week of the summer flight schedule.
Unfortunately, this did not happen due to the outbreak of the pandemic, at one point South Korea was, along with China, extremely affected by this disease. The company then, month by month, postponed the start of this seasonal route, and on the end, it was decided that the route will not operate this year at all.
Together with Zagreb service, the planned new route to Budapest and the route to Zurich have been canceled.
Korean Air left the possibility of a seasonal service in September and October (3 per week with B787 aircraft), but the company now decided to cancel all plans for Zagreb this year due to expected low demand.
Given that this company, just like many others, opens booking 365 days in advance, it is currently possible to buy a ticket on a direct flight to Zagreb in the Korean Air booking system from the end of March 2021. We can hope that it will stay like that since this company will have to go through restructuring in order to survive in the market.
