Jet2 terminates Zadar and Pula routes for summer season 2021.
Jet2, a low-cost leisure airline that offers a number of scheduled and charter flights from the UK to tourist destinations in Europe, has announced certain operational changes for the 2021 summer flight schedule. Some routes to Croatian airports have also been canceled.
In this year's summer flight schedule, this well-known British company flew to Pula, Split and Dubrovnik, with significantly less flights than last year, which was to be expected given the global pandemic. After Great Britain put Croatia on the "red list" at the end of August, this company canceled all flights to Croatian airports for this year.
Last fall, Jet2 announced the introduction of another destination in Croatia, it was supposed to be Zadar Airport, but due to reduced demand caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company decided to introduce routes to Zadar in the summer of 2021.
Due to the continuing uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company decided to not introduce routes to Zadar in the summer of 2021. Jet2 planned to introduce two routes to Zadar; from Manchester and London.
For package holiday customers who were due to travel to Zadar, we will be in touch with them to discuss their options, which includes rebooking their holiday to Split. Where customers are affected by any programme changes, we have been repeatedly recognised for how we have been looking after them and everyone affected will continue to receive this same level of VIP service.
Apart from Zadar, the company will not operate on the London Stansted - Pula route next summer. It is a long-term route that has been operating regularly for many years, but due to the reduced demand that the company anticipates for next summer, Jet2 will not have this route active next summer season.
We are operating to Split, Pula and Dubrovnik in the summer season 2021. We are completely committed to taking holidaymakers on their well-deserved holidays to beautiful Croatia, and we look forward to taking customers there next year.
Another major carrier that brings many tourists from Great Britain to Croatia, TUI, is still working on the summer flight schedule for next year. TUI was operating regular flights to Pula and Dubrovnik summer season 2019. even with wide-body aircraft such as B787-8 and B787-9 (Dreamliner). Due to the global pandemic this summer, the company did not operate towards Croatia.
