Eurowings reduces flight schedule for Croatia
Due to the restrictive measures which applies to all passengers who travel to Germany from Split-Dalmatia, Šibenik-Knin and Zadar counties (mandatory testing on COVID-19 and self-isolation until the test results), Eurowings records a decline in passenger demand resulting in reduction of weekly operations to Split Airport.
In mid-August, Eurowings announced its flight schedule to Croatia for September, the number of scheduled flights was even higher than during the July and August this year.
Due to restrictive measures and the epidemiological situation in Croatia, this airline, just like many others, is recording a drop in demand on flights to Split Airport, which results in the cancellation of certain departures and a new, reduced flight schedule for September. Eurowings was supposed to have 40 operations per week towards Split Airport this month, but that will not happen. Here is a new flight schedule:
the Split - Dusseldorf route will operate 2 times per week from September 26th, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (previously planned 4 flights per week, canceled flights on Sundays),
the Split - Hamburg route will operate 2 times per week from September 7th, on Mondays and Sundays (previously planned 4 flights per week, canceled flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays),
the Split - Cologne route will operate 2 times per week from September 7th, on Thursdays and Saturdays (previously planned 5 flights per week, canceled flights on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays). Eurowings had two daily flights on this route on Saturdays, one will continue to operate,
the Split - Stuttgart route will operate 3 times per week from September 7th, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays (previously planned 4 flights per week, canceled flights on Sundays),
the Split - Hannover route continues to operate according to the original plan, once per week, on Saturdays,
the Split - Berlin route continues to operate according to the original plan, two times per week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Eurowings will have 26 weekly operations to Split in September - 14 flights per week less than originally planned.
In other Croatian airports, there are currently no reductions on Eurowings routes, flights are operating according to the flight schedule that we published few weeks ago, can be found HERE. Further cancellations are possible and will depend on restrictions for travelers traveling to Germany from Croatia.
