Italian national airline published its schedule for August which does not include destinations in Croatia.
The airline will significantly increase the number of its destinations, mostly to destinations which are traditionally important for tourism in Italy (increase of weekly operations to Asia and USA).
Alitalia during the summer timetable flies regularly to Split and Dubrovnik from Rome (Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino Airport). Those routes are not operating right now, and will not resume during the August as well. Since the airline flies on this routes seasonally, mostly until the end of September, Alitalia will probably not fly to Croatia this year.
Croatia Airlines already operates from Zagreb via Split and Dubrovnik to Rome, while Vueling also operates on direct flights from Rome to Croatia, so passengers which wants to travel between Croatia and Italy can choose between two mentioned airlines at the moment.
