Air Serbia, the national air carrier of the Republic of Serbia decided to suspend Belgrade - Rijeka route in the summer season schedule.
The route was introduced last summer season with 2 weekly flights, operated with ATR72 aircraft and originally it was supposed to operate on year-round. Due to low demand, company cancelled flights in December 2019., with the information that the route will be seasonal from this summer season, due to pandemic situation, the route will not be re-introduced this year.
However, Air Serbia plans to re-establish direct regular flights to Zagreb and Zadar, and also to Dubrovnik, Split and Pula, but with reduced weekly rotations.
Unfortunately, the flight resumption dates are not known right now, from May 18th the airline will start flying from Belgrade to London, Frankfurt, Zurich and Vienna, while other international flights are postponed from June 1st to June 15th.
It is possible to buy a ticket on Air Serbia's web for flights to Croatia even before that date (June 15th) but those flights will probably be canceled in the next few days. Croatian Aviation will monitor what is happening in Air Serbia schedule and publish the start date to the Croatian destinations as soon as we get the information from the airline.
