Air Canada Rouge, a low-cost airline and subsidiary of Air Canada and a member of Star Alliance, will cancel all flights between Toronto and Zagreb this summer season. The reason is, of course, low demand in the context of COVID-19 situation worldwide.
Air Canada Rouge started with regular operations between Toronto and Zagreb back in June 2018. and flights were running until the start of October. Flights between those two cities were operating 4 times per week with Boeing 767-300ER. The company came back in the summer season 2019. as well, with confirmed flights for the season 2020. too, but due to the current situation, AC Rouge decided not to operate regular flights between two cities. Air Transat, another Canadian airline which fly directly between Toronto and Zagreb (3 times per week) is monitoring the situation and there is a high possibility they will cancel the route as well, especially when we know that Air Transat is mostly leisure airline.
